Week # 2

On a roller coaster the ascent is the time when you feel the heaviest, the Fa (applied force) is greater than Fg ( force of gravity) and are working against each other. On the way down from a very tall height while going at a tremendous speed ( the amount of distance over a period of time) the Fa is greater than gravity ( the force which the earth pulls on objects) and they are both going in the same direction. NLUG (Newton's Law of Universal Gravitation) devises that gravity is 6.67x10^-11 but if an applied force is greater than this in the same directions objects can become weightless.

Week #7

The problems that I'm having the most problems with are the ones were i canot decide which way it needs to be solved for example, "During a baseball game, a batter hits a pop-up to a fielder 68 m away.The acceleration of gravity is 9.8 m/s2 .If the ball remains in the air for 5.1 s, howhigh does it rise?Answer in units of m."  I do not know whether to use the range formula to solve for Vertical Displacement ( the vertical distance traveled) or if I need to find another given that I am not seein such as the max angle (45 degrees) (The measure of a plane between to lines ) I need to come in before school to talk to my teacher. I should have a study group with friends and read the textbook more by myself.
